^Lot 71 US 1924 Peace Silver Dollar

This US 1924 Peace silver dollar is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse features the Peace Dollar obverse design with the date 1924 and the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRVST. The reverse features the Peace Dollar reverse design with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. No mint mark is present on the reverse near the eagle's tail feathers, indicating mintage at the Philadelphia Mint. This coin series was designed by Anthony de Francisci to commemorate the restoration of peace following World War I.
